Well, it certainly appears as if we're going to war, in a short matter of time. I can't believe how much goodwill and moral authority this President has squandered, on his obsession with Iraq. I only hope that Tony Blair's promises of democracy and control of oil revenues for Iraq is realized and followed through.
I don't see how war can be avoided now, but I think Mr. Bush has been reckless in backing us into this corner. It is nearly impossible to imagine President Clinton, or Gore even, rolling the dice on such risky adventurism.
That is not to say that the French, Germans and Russians aren't ridiculous, patting themselves on their backs, refusing to take Iraq to task. If you fancy yourself as offering a credible alternative to America's foreign policy mess, your words have to have some bite, and carry action. Chirac is like a poodle nipping at Bush and Blair's cuffs.
But let's see the protests continue. I am pleasantly surprised every weekend, as hundreds of protesters make their way down Mass Ave chanting, holding signs, and genuinely getting the agreement and appreciation of everyone on the street. They've got mine.
I'm with you, bruddah.
But I gotta say -- I forgot all about that for a few minutes when I stepped outside into 61 degree weather.

In an effort to jump-start the crew over at Suckahs, I posted a little item about the imminent war....
