so far the responses are better than i had hoped for the new comix. everyone is pretty much done, but it wouldn't be right to blow our load all at once so you'll just have to wait to see them all. and for those of you with "small non-complaints" about the way you look ... just know in your heart that i toiled and bled over each and every one of your comix and if there's something in it, it's there for a reason. that's some catholic guilt being shoved your way in case you didn't recognize it.
this morning i got up at the ass crack of dawn, which is probably about the time most of you job-havers get up everyday, to go take pictures of the crazies in front of Planned Parentood. i got a couple OK shots of this 6th-grade-science-class-esque display of the stages of pregnancy that was all 3D and shit. i dunno. the entire scene lacked any humor or irony or even any emotion except for the pathetic looks on these people's faces as they tried to shove pamphlets at pedestrians. i'm just no good at the whole "photojournalism" thang. all i really got out of the entire morning was a minor case of frost bite.
but on a slightly related topic, a woman from NPR came up to me and asked my opinion on the photojournalist being held in Afganistan and if i thought the other journalists should be required to come back. she even pointed a big microphone at me ... it was all very exciting.
