At least HBO takes all the good awards and PBS and Bravo steal most of the reality show nods.

But the best is the Tonight show, which received LESS nominations than the Chappell Show.
AND it had no nominations in either best variety show or best writing, while CBS's "Late Show With David Letterman," NBC's "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and Comedy Central's "Daily Show With Jon Stewart," were all nominated.
Stupid Leno. Your show SUCKS.

God I hate waiting.

I read this article this morning on Drudge, and I am somewhat outraged by it.

How can he legitimately make the claim that Kerry's position on abortion in 1972, a year before Roe v. Wade came down, is even remotely representative of his position now? The fact that a young catholic democrat opposed addressing abortion in favor of other issues, which remain highly important even today, when abortion was still opposed by a majority of people and addressed by even fewer is simply unimportant today. This is one issue, of many I am sure, that a person has the right to change their position on as times and society change. I think it is absurd that Drudge is trying to make an issue out of the fact that in 1972 Kerry may not have wanted to address abortion as a national issue.

I know it's been ages since I've posted. I think it was before July, which means I've been rescued by firemen, moved unexpectedly, started grad school and brought home a stray cat since we've last spoken.

But even more exciting that all of that is THANKSGIVING! Or, more specifically my thanksgiving, which I'm cooking. That's right, Mom, Sis, Mom's boyfriend and Ned are all going to enjoy some tasty home cooking tomorrow.

Except that it almost went completely awry - Lucy style. Yesterday, I was just finishing up the cranberry sauce when I realized that it was suspiciously quiet in my kitchen. The evil silence was due to the fact that my refrigerator had decided to accept a timely and very early death. Early since the fridge that was here when we moved in blew out two weeks into September. So this little baby was only two months old! But seriously, what the f*ck?! Is this the Christmas Story or something? Am I supposed to take the family to the local Chinese restaurant for dinner?

Well, it's all fixed. A nice man came and fixed it for me - and it only cost a day of work and a serious amount of unnecessary stress. No food was lost the the episode since I have such nice neighbors with extra fridge space.

So, with that story out of the way -- here's a list of all the things we're making for the big day. It makes me hungry just thinking about it...

* Turkey a la Martha
* Basic Stuffing (cooked in the bird per Ned's request)
* Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
* Steamed Green Beans and Pine Nuts
* Homemade Cranberry Sauce
* Corn Muffins
* Apple Pie
* Sweet Potato (actually it's squash. I've been informed that Sweet Potatoes only grow in the Carribean) Pie, both with homemade whipped cream

I also made two loaves of Pumpkin Bread for breakfast...now the only surprise is Ned's appetizer. You still making something Ned??

Anyone home for Thanksgiving? Kaleb and I will be up from late Wednesday night thru Sunday evening. Let me know if you'll be around

Julia visited this past weekend... it was nice to hang with her again. Next time we'll have to actually get drunk when we go out drinking.

i just came home from Amsterdam a few days ago. I am still recovering. I did a few wholesome things like the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House, and I took a canal cruise. Aside from that it was all debauchery(?) and the rest of the time I spent shopping. Well I even can't really count the Anne frank museum as wholesome because there was this hot hot hot 18 year old (i hope, probably more like 17) from eastern europe somewhere that I couldn't stop staring at. it was like getting turned on in church. i felt so guilty. And i enjoyed the coffee shops, the red light district, the many fabulous flaming bars and sex clubs and saunas. yada, yada, yada, I'm really tired.

someone tell me that this isn't real. he has full grown flies coming out of his penis.

well, i managed to get back in to Suckahs. i still think there is a conspiracy against me.

anyway. my life sucks right now. the bar exam is in 5 days (5 days?!?) and all i do is study. i am so fucking sick of studying. all i want to do is go outside for a walk. nope. i can't. i have to sit in here and review 2 more fucking subjects of florida law today.

if i ever have to do this again i will just cry.

hello. i am in buffalo right now. this weekend i am in the studio recording my brother's band, but after that i am free all week. is anybody else home right now? other exciting news.... next week i am going to amsterdam by myself for 5 days! any travel tips?

Suckahs members,

I wanted to take a minute to explain what's been happening to suckahs.org lately -- specifically related to the server troubles, errors, and general problems.

Suckahs uses Moveable Type to publish 7 blogs. The data is all stored in a database on the server, which has been straining to keep up with posting, rebuilds, and comments. This blog alone has over 550 entries, and over 1700 comments. My Blog is also very large. Quite a lot to manage.

But manage, we will.

I may choose to upgrade our hosting package in the near term-- to get us some more power, and additional disk space. Ben and Mina (the moveable type folks) have some cool features on the way -- including an easy photo album tool.

I want to ask you to report to me any problems you may have using the site-- including posting, commenting, rebuilding, etc. So we can determine what the future of Suckahs should be. Also, we may be able to add individual blogs to those who want them.

Now, back to the show...

I was browsing some Boston-area blogs, and saw this image on I feel Happy. I think the only thing that kept me from panhandling in the past 2 years is having sympathetic parents and an $8,000 credit line.

But, the good news is that I will be debt-free by mid-July! And, though I haven't got a guaranteed job, it's should go through November, at least, and it pays well enough.

But, my boss just announced he's leaving the company.... so, stay tuned...

As many of you have noticed, the extremely helpful and never manipulative Department of Homeland Security has started a campaign to help us prepare for and fight against those evil terrorists.

Apparently some people are making up their own captions to the illustrations. After a few chuckles I thought to myself: we can definitely do better.

So here's my first entry and I encourage all of you to take a whirl:
